DJ Guidelines

  • Play whatever genre you want, but don’t be an idiot.
  • Make sure your MP3 tags are correct. The artist and song name must contain only the correct artist and the correct song name. This is definitely important to note if you take requests.
  • Do NOT play your friends music without their explicit permission. Just because you have a MP3 of your friend singing doesn’t mean you can play it on the CnR Radio with out their explicit permission to do so.
  • If you have a mic, feel free to use it. Just remember this is OFFICIAL, respect CnR.
  • Don’t play the same artist too many times. Don’t play the same artist more than 2/3 times in a row. Don’t stream entire albums.
  • Respect the other DJs. You are a team, act like it. Work together to make CnR Radio better.
  • Always be on IRC if you intend to stream, do NOT stream if you are not connected to IRC and in #cnr.radiostaff.
  • Discuss issues with other DJs in #cnr.radiostaff. Discuss server issues in #cnr.radiostaff.
  • Do not start streaming when another DJ is streaming UNLESS you are trying to transfer.
  • Do not share your stream password with ANYONE, not even another DJ.
  • As a DJ, you are granted half-op in #cnr.radio, do not abuse this, use it only as a last resort. If a CnR admin is in the channel, let them deal with the issue.
  • Try to maintain the listener count. If your listener count is dropping, switch things up a little if you can!
  • Use common sense.
